Lets Go Aggies!!!
Oh my... what a game!!! This was my very first USU Men's Basketball game ever! It was a very exciting game!!! I was not disappointed one bit! I'm glad that I was able to spend time with Jessica (my roommate), and Jeff (her boyfriend). We were to meet with two other people, but we met up with one after the game.
Utah sent Long Beach crawling back home with their tail in between their legs! The score was USU 81, LBSU 53. It was fun to be apart of the crowd, cheering USU on! There was one chant that brought a smile to my face. I don't know why, but it did! It's called... The Scotsman.
The Scotsman
Show me a Scotsman,
Who doesn't love the thistle.
Show me an English man,
Who doesn't love the rose.
Show me a true blooded
Aggie from Utah,
Who doesn't love the spot . . .
Where the sagebrush grows!
I wish you could see the action movements that go with it!!!
Way to be Aggies, way to be!!!!!
To: Boys... From: Santa
This was our beautiful Christmas tree in our apartment. Tess and Allison had cut out snowflakes from glitter paper, and hung them from the ceiling. We hung 5 stockings on the one side of the wall. It was nice to come home from work, plug in the lights, cook dinner, and snuggle up to watch a movie.
The management @ Legacy Village encouraged their attendants to join in with them on the holiday spirit. They hosted a decorating balcony contest. The would give a prize to the attendant who was all "decked out" for the holidays. This was our balcony! We had displayed the beautiful tree on one side of the window, and wrapped our screen door with wrapping paper. We made a tag that said... To: Boys... From: Santa. We decorated the railing with garland, bows, silver beads, and lights. Sorry, this picture does not do it justice! There was too much fog period!!! Welcome to Cache County!!!
I'm happy to report that we won the contest! We won a $20.00 gift card to Cafe Sabor!!! Yea Girls!!! You Rock!!!

I Love to See the Temple!
On my day off, I decided to adventure my way around Brigham City! I know that it's small, but it's a town that I haven't been in before! I found a real cute scrapbook store/craft boutique called... Just Bee Scrap'n. After I'd stopped there, I wanted to try Maddox's chicken. I was craving a chicken breast from Larry's Spring Chicken Inn, but I wasn't going to drive down all the way to Morgan to get it. I had an idea of where Maddox was located, but I had to drive all the way down main street to get there. I remember hearing the news of the Groundbreaking Ceremony of the Brigham City Temple! I told myself... I want to find this site!!! Three blocks later, I found it!!! This is what it looks like thus far! I love Temples! I cannot wait to have it completed! I love Temple Open Houses! I also love Temple Dedications!!! We are bless to have many Temples in Utah!
Lauren's Playtime!
As you know, I've started cosmetology school. This weekend, I opened my kit and started looking at everything. I started laughing when I pulled this out. This is one of my manikins, named... Dylan. I automatically thought of this from Toy Story 2...
Woody: [after dealing with Prospector] I think it's time that Prospector learned something called playtime. [points to something off screen]
Woody: Right over there guys!
Stinky Pete the Prospector: No, no, No!
[we see a Barbie backpack come out of the baggage room with the Prospector sitting in the netting in front]
Amy: [offscreen] Look, Barbie! A big ugly man-doll! Ooh, he needs a makeover.
[Amy grabs her backpack and puts her Barbie doll in. The doll's head is facing to the left of the screen]
Barbie: Hi, you'll like Amy.
[Turns her face to reveal a bunch of make up on her cheek]
Barbie: She's an artist!
Is it bad that I'm going from playing with needles, scalpels, etc... to scissors, and razors?

Lookout Below!
One cold evening, we all decided that we wanted to go sledding. We ran into Walmart to buy the last minute gear for this crazy excursion. We saw these really fun tubes. We pulled our money together, and bought them! We decided to go sledding at the hill, on Old Main. On the way over, Tess and I were trying to inflate these tubes as fast as we could.
Upon arrival, I saw this person being loaded into the ambulance. A few minutes later, I see a sign that reads... "The threat of serious injury is great, and those who insist on using Old Main Hill for sledding do so @ their own risk." We knew of the potential risks, but we still wanted to go sledding!!! We climbed our way to the top, chose the perfect spot, and wait until it was our turn. As the time came for us to go, we were a little nervous! We did not want to hit anyone as we sped down, nor run into a tree! We mustered up the courage to go and finally went. When we got to the bottom, we were rather disappointed at our tubes! We thought since they were new, we'd give them a few more tries. Sadly, we gave up on them! We ran to Tess's parents house, and picked up ol' reliable!
We rushed our way back to Old Main. As I was hiking my way up, I observed some of the other sleds. I saw sleds that were made of: material bolts covered in saran wrap, broken down boxes covered in saran wrap, square/round cookie sheets, pool flotations, etc. I thought it was rather interesting, yet very creative as to what these kids thought of. I made it to the top of the hill and thought... finally, lets go sledding!!! We had so much fun zipping down the hill. Sadly, the very next day... I was sore! I thought to myself... I'm getting old!!!
P.s. We returned the tubes to Walmart!!!
