Stinky Old Geneva!
When I was growing up, us kids had a saying of... "Stinky Old Geneva" for Geneva Steel in Orem, UT. I'd always associate that smell to perms for some odd reason! Friday, I gave my 1st perm to my mannequin named, Debra. All of last week, I've been learning several different methods as to how to wrap for perms. I took gray rods to Debra, giving her the rock'n poodle look! I promise that if you come in for a perm, I will not give you the tight poodle look!
P.s. If you know of anyone who would like a perm, I need them for a model in two weeks! Hair cannot be shorter than 3 inches, but can't be longer than shoulder length. I can't do a spiral on this either, due to the time of my class. It's a perm of your choice too! Just let me know!

For FHE this past Monday evening, Miss Cynthia and I, took on the challenge of making a bird house! When we first started, we both were a little jumpy with some of the power tools used, and the noises it made. It was very intimidating at first, but we had a wonderful Instructor that instructed us! To be honest, this was a fun project! I'm glad that I learned what it takes to make such a house, filled with much love! Cynthia is proudly showing her cute, little, homey house on your left. President Anderson is showing my birdie condo on the right! Good Memories!!! Thanks Cynthia, and President Anderson!

The Rinse Off!
Yesterday at school, we had the opportunity to wash and style each others hair. I draped my client at my station, and then we walked over to the dispensary. I needed to gather the following supplies from dispense: shampoo, conditioner, and towels. A small line formed, so I told my client to walk back to the shampooing area in which she may choose any seat she desired. I also told her that I would be there as soon as I'd gathered these items. While walking towards my client, I thought of the horror stories my Instructors told us. Some of these stories were about girls in previous classes, who have gotten others wet accidentally -including their clients-, in the shampooing area. To be honest, I haven't seen this happen with any of the girls in my class, nor did I want to be the one who'd accidentally do this to another. We've always tried to be very careful! Just as I finished that thought... the unthinkable happened.
I'd just turned the corner to the shampooing area walking towards my client, when I saw two other girls from our class. One girl was standing right in front of the shampoo chair, facing the other girl. The other girl was trying to turn on the water, to wash something off her fingers. It's important to state that the sink handle in the shampoo bowls are completely different from each other. Meaning... on some of these handles, you'll pull up, slowly, to turn on the water. On the others, you'll twist to the left, slowly, to turn on the water. It's also of importance to see if the head of the shampoo hose is facing downward, hanging in the bottom of the sink, or if it's returned to it's upright, proper position. Right before I got to their station... I saw water come shooting out of the hose, spraying this poor girl that was standing in front of it. Both of them were screaming, while all of this was going on! I felt so bad, because there was nothing that I could do to help at this moment in time. If I was a second earlier, I would have gotten wet right along side with her. Lucky, she was draped with a cape. After we've gotten everything cleaned up, we just laughed! Rinse anyone?

I Am Woman!
I am woman, hear me roar! I've been learning how to create different hairstyles by doing everything from pin curls, wraps, finger-waves, rollers, to curls with the marcel irons. I love the retro hairstyles! I wish I hadn't cut my hair short! Grow, baby, grow! These are a few of the styles that I've created! I have more, but the lighting of the other pictures are really poor! Enjoy!
P.s. I'm about 8 weeks away from being on the floor!

Lets Go Aggies!!!
Oh my... what a game!!! This was my very first USU Men's Basketball game ever! It was a very exciting game!!! I was not disappointed one bit! I'm glad that I was able to spend time with Jessica (my roommate), and Jeff (her boyfriend). We were to meet with two other people, but we met up with one after the game.
Utah sent Long Beach crawling back home with their tail in between their legs! The score was USU 81, LBSU 53. It was fun to be apart of the crowd, cheering USU on! There was one chant that brought a smile to my face. I don't know why, but it did! It's called... The Scotsman.
The Scotsman
Show me a Scotsman,
Who doesn't love the thistle.
Show me an English man,
Who doesn't love the rose.
Show me a true blooded
Aggie from Utah,
Who doesn't love the spot . . .
Where the sagebrush grows!
I wish you could see the action movements that go with it!!!
Way to be Aggies, way to be!!!!!
To: Boys... From: Santa
This was our beautiful Christmas tree in our apartment. Tess and Allison had cut out snowflakes from glitter paper, and hung them from the ceiling. We hung 5 stockings on the one side of the wall. It was nice to come home from work, plug in the lights, cook dinner, and snuggle up to watch a movie.
The management @ Legacy Village encouraged their attendants to join in with them on the holiday spirit. They hosted a decorating balcony contest. The would give a prize to the attendant who was all "decked out" for the holidays. This was our balcony! We had displayed the beautiful tree on one side of the window, and wrapped our screen door with wrapping paper. We made a tag that said... To: Boys... From: Santa. We decorated the railing with garland, bows, silver beads, and lights. Sorry, this picture does not do it justice! There was too much fog period!!! Welcome to Cache County!!!
I'm happy to report that we won the contest! We won a $20.00 gift card to Cafe Sabor!!! Yea Girls!!! You Rock!!!

I Love to See the Temple!
On my day off, I decided to adventure my way around Brigham City! I know that it's small, but it's a town that I haven't been in before! I found a real cute scrapbook store/craft boutique called... Just Bee Scrap'n. After I'd stopped there, I wanted to try Maddox's chicken. I was craving a chicken breast from Larry's Spring Chicken Inn, but I wasn't going to drive down all the way to Morgan to get it. I had an idea of where Maddox was located, but I had to drive all the way down main street to get there. I remember hearing the news of the Groundbreaking Ceremony of the Brigham City Temple! I told myself... I want to find this site!!! Three blocks later, I found it!!! This is what it looks like thus far! I love Temples! I cannot wait to have it completed! I love Temple Open Houses! I also love Temple Dedications!!! We are bless to have many Temples in Utah!
